The VideoguidaLIS, Etna Park Italian Sign Language guide, developed for the Ente Parco Regionale dell’Etna (Etna Regional Park Authority), introduces visitors to the history of the highest volcano in Europe, and one of the largest in the world. The VideoguidaLIS, is in fact a journey through time beginning 570,000 years ago.
The VideoguidaLIS can be downloaded free of charge from the Market Store, and also used online by logging onto the official website of the Park Authority or onto the national platform www.VideoguidaLIS.it.
The VideoguidaLIS contains 50 videos split into 10 menus containing the history of Mount Etna from the formation of the volcanoes that preceded it, through the colonisation of the lava to the present day and its future protection.
The texts have been suitably adapted from Italian to Italian Sign Language by Rosanna Pesce and translated into Italian Sign Language by Cirino Sconti, a deaf person.
