The application is part of the larger “SI Siena” accessibility project, which groups together the other applications that make the Civic Museum, the Santa Maria della Scala Museum, and the Museum of Water in Siena accessible to deaf and hearing people. There are two applications available: with video translations in Italian Sign Language and audio in Italian and with audio and text translations in French, English and German.
The VideoguideLIS can be downloaded for free from the Market Store and used online by connecting to the official website of the Civic Museum of Siena or on the national platform www.videoguidalis.it. In the VideoguideLIS developed for the Civic Museum of Siena you will find videos in LIS and audio in Italian divided into topics in addition to the photo gallery and contacts, which will accompany you on your visit with the LIS translator’s welcome, notices and tips for your visit. The application improves accessibility to the halls and the exhibition route thanks also to the use of the interactive map. 
The texts were appropriately adapted from Italian to LIS by Rosanna Pesce and translated into Lis by Antonio Parente, an expert in the Italian Sign Language.
