The opening of the 27th Restituzioni exhibition, by Intesa Sanpaolo, was held in Milan. The project aims, each year, to restore valuable works in need of intervention, be they works of private, public, or ecclesiastical museums.
In this edition, Intesa Sanpaolo’s choice to restore the Riding Ephebe takes on particular importance. The work, discovered by Paolo Orsi in 1910 and dating back to the fifth century B.C., in addition to restoration by restorers Guido-Mantella, received a virtual restoration, through digital scanning of the statue, by digi.Art.
